As a wedding photographer you get to see all kind of weddings and when Anna & Simon got married it was an international one. Simon from England finally got his Swedish bride Anna! They got married in Örgryte Gamla Kyrka (Örgryte Old Church), a super cute little church in Gothenburg. After a ceremony with laughter and smiles the day continued on towards Långedrag Värdshus where the rest of the celebrations took place. Transporting about 60 people through Gothenburg is not easy but Anna & Simon did it in style with one of Gothenburg’s classic old trams.
The champagne was flowing while we were cruising through Gothenburg and I think a tram has never had more happiness packed into it (including ”lisebergslinjen”, the tram taking kids from the city center to Gothenburg’s big amusement park). Långedrag welcomed us with a beautiful afternoon sun and while the champagne kept flowing we snuck out for a bit of photography by the sea.
Already at our engagement session some weeks earlier Anna expressed her concern for the portraits since Simon is not a big fan of standing in front of a camera. I don’t know if it was the champagne or, how I prefer to think of it, just the happiness of the day, but Simon (and also Anna for that matter) was awesome! They both have a super nice, relaxed, non-serious attitude which made the shoot a lot of fun!
As they sat down for dinner I took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful evening sun before taking off and I remember thinking to myself, they definitely have all the element for having a magical evening and night!
Here’s a slide show and some of our photos from the day.
